Are You too Sensitive?

Being a sensitive person is well and good, no offence taken. This trait brings you lot of benefits in the form of appreciation and recognition. Once you cross the Rubicon line and become too sensitive disaster begins. It disturbs your relationship with others putting you on crosshairs. For remedy, you have to resort to counselling and afterwards use of cosmic gems.

Contrary to common belief, a sensitive person is really a successful person. There are lot of goodies waiting for you. Chief amongst these is the recognition that you are people oriented person with deep understanding of moods and thinking of everyone around you. You can scan their inner mind; read between lines, feel the pulse, tune to hints and nuances, sense cues and subtleties and more that understand body language.

Woe falls on you when you get into a bracket known as High Sensitive Person (HSP). Common parlance used for this trait is hypersensitivity. More of a disorder Hypersensitivity is associated with high sensory processing ability to both internal external stimuli. This trait, if genetically arises termed as “innate” and if acquired due to upbringing called as “acquired”. Approximately 15 to 20 per centum of people globally suffer from some form of hypersensitivity. Equanimity is a salutary factor though. Both sexes suffer from this disorder equally. Yet, when it comes to type of the traits negatives outnumber positives and that is why hypersensitivity is a disorder.

Positive traits, though fewer in number tend to balance the negatives in big way. As a people friendly person, you respect their sense and sensibility. Never strain raw nerves. Display sympathy and empathy in equal measure. Conduct yourself in dignity and decorum, not to mention your fastidiousness in clothes and accessories. Think a lot before arriving at a decision. Your five senses work in superman style helping your brain in processing vast information and crunching lot of details.

Negative traits can be over-whelming. You tend to live in a closed up world with a comfort zone built around you. Consider going solo as a better alternative and never letting others know what you think of them. By the same token, you will get hurt or feel guilty when someone passes a comment or critique. Taking a long time to make your decision you will easily lose chances in love, marriage and other relationship. Nervousness can cause you fidgeting hair, twiddling fingers or shaking legs. A notable negative is susceptibility to skin diseases like eczema and neuro dermatitis. Easily prone to cold, flu and allergies, you can be put-off by excess glare of light or blaring of sound. When negatives start to have a toll on you, depression and anxiety set in. At this point, you will seesaw between extremes: over-active or do nothing; blame you or rebuke others; do yourself or pass the buck.
