How to meditate to diminish misfortunes?

Absolutely nobody can be free of misfortunes. In some stage of life even the mightiest have to suffer misfortune in one form or another. If misfortunes arrive one after another you are in a great fix. Many resort to hasty action; some go to a fortune teller. Few others lay trust on God. But in my experience as a cosmic adviser the best alternative is to do meditation in order to diminish the effects of misfortune. Here are salient points:
Never under-estimate the effect and duration of misfortunes. A train of events take place when you allow one misfortune to pass unheeded.  Both the impact of a misfortune and how long misfortune lasts influence the action steps you take in meditating with the specific purpose of clearing away these misfortunes. For example if you continue to fail your examination then the matter is serious enough to warrant urgent and somewhat longer meditation than in the case of a bereavement in your neighbourhood.
Secondly you must do a cosmic analysis of your body, mind and spirit to determine the time, duration and other details of meditation. For some people sun-rise is good time while for others sun-set is ideal. Some need more time to meditate but are constricted because they just do not have that quantum of free time. In other cases persons have plenty of time but cannot decide how to do an effective meditation with all the time available.
Thirdly, you need the right place to carry on with meditation to expel bad fortune. A cluttered room does not help in getting your focus right. By the same token an open space can be counter - productive if you are bombarded with screeching sound of trees and serenading of birds.
Fourthly, you must consciously believe that you are in the middle of an effort to oust the dog time you experience now and make a comeback in life with zest and zing. If anytime you have an iota of doubt that this is just a gimmick and that you are wasting your time in meditation rather than doing something serious then you are done forthwith. Remember the rhymes of nursery poem “All the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put Humpty Dumpty together again”
Fifthly, list all your misfortunes and repeat each one in a simple sentence and say that this misfortune be ousted at once, this one be eliminated in short term ; this must be expunged in near future and so on.
Sixth and last piece of my advice is that you never give up halfway. Because when things are shaping up to your advantage the real misfortune strikes in tempting you to just give up and walk away.

Five steps to elevate your mind

A key requirement for a successful and satisfied life is the higher level of consciousness in your mind and higher level of operational efficiency your mind displays. Here are five steps you can follow to elevate your mind to soar high:
Purifying is the first step you must resort to. In order to purify your mind, you must purge all the ill feelings you have about you and others. Thereafter you must disinfect the mind so that all dregs and deep seated silts are cleaned and removed. Also you run through your mind and see anything that need be straightened, corrected and rectified so that you will not fall again to these pitfalls. Finally you need to refine your thought process and do a dry run to see that your mind is functioning seamlessly.
Becalming is the second step. Here you allow your mind to stand still and motionless for a few moments. Then you quieten your thoughts and feelings so that you get into the zone of tranquillity. Now you see two things happening: one is that you are serene and the other one is that you are absolutely peaceful.
Strengthening is the third step. While doing the second step you are quietened down whereas in third step you bolster your mind activity so that your thought process runs at high speed resulting in heightened mind activity. The end result has two dimensions: one is that your mind is reinforced in courage and strength. The second dimension is that your mind has been rejuvenated and is fresh like a flower that has blossomed just now.
Illuminating is the fourth step that transits from the blooming mind to a lightened one. Whatever darkness that hovered around your mind earlier withers away and in its place you have lit up a new lamp that lights-up your thinking and brightens your entire mind in one go. Now you can see your mind is glowing and at the same time radiating the rainbow colours that you can sense yourself.
Elevating is the fifth and final step. Once you perch yourself on the escalator of your mind you soar high and reach higher consciousness resulting in your transformation as a new person worthy to be called as a gentleman. Here are few changes that are wrought in: You are now sublime. You have noble thoughts. Your beliefs are salutary. Your attitude is dignified.  In sum you have transformed your mind to its exaltation.
Once you finish the five steps you can do a cosmic analysis of your body, mind and spirit to find out how these are in sync now. Need I say that you are more successful and satisfied now?

What happens to your spirit when you die?

Every human being is made of four parts: body, mind, spirit and soul. Out of these the soul is a matter of divine breath and is beyond discussion or comprehension. This leaves us to only body, mind and spirit as the three dimensions that we should study and analyse. When you die your body is stilled and the mind stops functioning. But what happens to you spirit? Here is my take:
The spirit never dies; it leaves your body and floats in the firmament. The spirit departing from a good natured person who has done his divine and secular duty well ascends upward to the celestial sphere to serve the human kind thereafter. These spirits are called in different names in different cultures. In the modern parlance they are known as “Ascended masters” who stand by with people who needs guidance and blessings. They are also referred to as saints, sadhus and glorified spirits. You can pray to them and seek support and succour when in need.
The second variant of the spirit is the one that leaves a person who is good natured but did not fulfil his quota of divine duty yet completed his service in the secular world to the utmost. His spirit floats in the terrestrial world helping human beings whenever and wherever possible. They are called in different names as kind spirit, spirit companion, and spirit mate and so on. They never harm anyone but reprimand those who commit minor sins once in a way.
The third and notorious one is the spirit that leaves a person who is a sinner to the hilt having caused death and destruction, rape and violence, deceit and depredation, dereliction of duty and care and finally demolition of the foundations of ethics and morality. These spirits are known as evil spirit, beast, devil and demon.
Nurturing your spirit to become at-least a kind one should be your goal as you finish your stint on earth. You can do a cosmic analysis of your body, mind and spirit to find out how your spirit mutes after you leave this world forever.
