Absolutely
nobody can be free of misfortunes. In some stage of life even the mightiest have
to suffer misfortune in one form or another. If misfortunes arrive one after
another you are in a great fix. Many resort to hasty action; some go to a
fortune teller. Few others lay trust on God. But in my experience as a cosmic
adviser the best alternative is to do meditation in order to diminish the
effects of misfortune. Here are salient points:
Never
under-estimate the effect and duration of misfortunes. A train of events take
place when you allow one misfortune to pass unheeded. Both the impact of a
misfortune and how long misfortune lasts influence the action steps you take in
meditating with the specific purpose of clearing away these misfortunes. For
example if you continue to fail your examination then the matter is serious
enough to warrant urgent and somewhat longer meditation than in the case of a bereavement
in your neighbourhood.
Secondly you must
do a cosmic analysis of your body, mind and spirit to determine the time,
duration and other details of meditation. For some people sun-rise is good time
while for others sun-set is ideal. Some need more time to meditate but are
constricted because they just do not have that quantum of free time. In other
cases persons have plenty of time but cannot decide how to do an effective
meditation with all the time available.
Thirdly, you
need the right place to carry on with meditation to expel bad fortune. A
cluttered room does not help in getting your focus right. By the same token an
open space can be counter - productive if you are bombarded with screeching
sound of trees and serenading of birds.
Fourthly, you
must consciously believe that you are in the middle of an effort to oust the
dog time you experience now and make a comeback in life with zest and zing. If
anytime you have an iota of doubt that this is just a gimmick and that you are
wasting your time in meditation rather than doing something serious then you
are done forthwith. Remember the rhymes of nursery poem “All the king's horses
and all the king's men couldn't put Humpty Dumpty together again”
Fifthly, list
all your misfortunes and repeat each one in a simple sentence and say that this
misfortune be ousted at once, this one be eliminated in short term ; this must
be expunged in near future and so on.
Sixth and last
piece of my advice is that you never give up halfway. Because when things are
shaping up to your advantage the real misfortune strikes in tempting you to just
give up and walk away.
